The Tale of Purple Plum Radish (I think that's what they're called.)

I fell in love with these adorable radishes and I had to at least try to grow them.

Given the tight squeeze, I decided to do this:

Now, I admit they look like they have been through the wringer and because I am not that skilled a gardener nor very patient, I am optimistic they'll perk right up and settle into their new space and get on with growing in to nice plump purple radishes. I'll keep you posted.

Greenwood Phinney Ridge Neighborhood Garage Sale - May 17, 2014

My plans for today were to shop the U District Farmers Market with a dear friend of mine.  When I arrived at her house, just past 9AM, I said, we need to stop at the garage sale just around the corner.  At the garage sale we were informed that today was the neighborhood-wide garage sale with over 100 participants.  Good thing the both of us can easily adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.  Ergo, we nixed fresh produce, flowers, and bakery for garage sale nirvana. 

In two hours we got our 10K steps in I'm sure and a whole car load of loot.
